LocationGoldsboro, NC
Type of FacilityHealthcare Facility
DescriptionDEVITA is providing electrical engineering and design services for renovations to the main hospital Kitchen and Servery. The renovation includes all new foodservice equipment in the Servery, a new cook line in the kitchen, as well as revisions to the existing bakery area. New electrical panelboards will be provided in the kitchen to provide much needed circuit capacity, and existing circuits will be upgraded to received GFCI protection for all receptacles per the latest NEC requirements. New LED lighting and controls will be provided for the Kitchen, Servery, Dining Room, and Patio. Because it is missing from this original 1967 area of the Ground Floor, new Life Safety branch distribution is also being provided in this project, and existing transformer grounding is being remedied to meet current NEC requirements. To meet the phasing required to keep the area functional during construction, power will be provided to a temporary servery that will be set up in the existing Dining Room. Pre-design analysis included measurement of existing loads on key equipment serving the kitchen area with data loggers over a minimum 30-day period.
