Darren Springer, DEVITA

Darren C. Springer, CPA (SC)

President and Board Member

Darren is responsible for overall management of the firm with a clear purpose: to maintain the firm's high quality standards and support the firm in reaching its goals and fulfilling its mission. Darren graduated from Bob Jones University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Accounting, and is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Global Management Accountant. As a valued consultant on accounting and tax matters, he served a variety of corporate and individual clients at Cherry, Bekaert & Holland, LLP before joining DEVITA. He is a member of several professional accounting organizations, including the AICPA, SCACPA, and IMA.


Trey Moran, DEVITA

Thomas P. (Trey) Moran, III, P.E.

Chief Technology Officer and Board Member

As the firm's Technology Manager, Trey has full technical and fiscal responsibility for the design, purchase, and management of the firm's technical infrastructure, including IT, communications, and facility infrastructure. An electrical engineer licensed in over twenty states, his responsibilities also include project management and design supervision of electrical systems for various projects and building types. Trey is a graduate of Clemson University where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. He is a member of NSPE and SCSPE.


Derrick Hiott, DEVITA

Vice President, Precast Division

Derrick has held structural engineering and engineering management positions throughout his career, and along with this vast experience, he brings an impressive level of confidence and skill to manage DEVITA's rapidly growing Precast Division. He has an eye for detail, evident in his design capabilities, plus the ability to carefully listen and uncover solutions that create long-term value for our clients and project stakeholders. Derrick is a graduate of Clemson University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. He is a member of several professional organizations, including PCI, ASCE, NSPE, and SCSPE.


Chris Rollins, DEVITA

Chris Rollins

Project Developer

Chris brings to the firm more than 30 years of experience in the precast concrete industry. As Project Manager, Chris is responsible for project management and coordination for various precast concrete and structural engineering projects. He negotiates contracts and schedules with clients, coordinates with subcontractors, and is an integral link between precast manufacturers and the engineering design team. In his role as Project Developer, Chris leads the sales and marketing efforts for the Division. Chris stays on the cutting edge of technology and leads the Divisionís effort to implement BIM (Building Information Modeling) utilizing Tekla modeling software. His experience in a variety of precast prestressed structures including industrial facilities, parking decks, correctional facilities, student housing, warehouse distribution facilities, educational/school facilities, and food processing plants.


Don White, DEVITA

Don White

Director of Projects

Utilizing his background in electrical design and project management, Don is responsible for overall multidiscipline project coordination for various industrial, commercial, governmental and institutional facilities.  Don works closely with the technical department heads, project managers and coordinators, and project development personnel to ensure a high level of client service and project delivery.  His project experience includes primary, secondary and general educational facilities, churches, special needs centers, office buildings, retail facilities including specialized lighting design (furniture stores, grocery stores and malls), libraries, auditoriums, restaurants, military facilities, banks, prisons, and industrial facilities.


Patrick Milne

Branch Project Director

As Branch Project Director in our Marietta, Georgia office, Patrick is responsible for design and design supervision for the total engineering effort and overall multidiscipline project coordination for various mixed-use, commercial, governmental and institutional facilities. Patrickís experience includes Mechanical and Plumbing design, Project Management, and Construction Administration on projects that encompass many different types of mechanical and plumbing systems including but not limited to: heat pump, variable refrigerant volume, chilled and condensing water, heating water, condensing boiler, heat recovery chiller, dedicated outdoor air, variable air volume, hood exhaust, air quality sampling and chilled beam. Specific projects include new construction and renovations of municipal, recreational, registered historical buildings, museums, theatres, higher education scientific laboratories, industrial manufacturing production facilities, multifamily, hospitality, commercial and retail facilities.


Steven Grzybowski, DEVITA

Steven Grzybowski

Project Development

Steven is responsible for assessment of new opportunities, and proposal development. Steven works closely within firm management to ensure that new client engagements are appropriately staffed and managed. Steven also takes the lead in the firm's outward marketing efforts. Steven holds an undergraduate degree from Boston Architectural College, with a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Liberty University. Prior to joining DEVITA, Steven worked for both small and large architectural firms, leading projects across various industries. Steven's experience in architecture, and as a former client of various engineering firms, provides a unique understanding of the needs and challenges facing DEVITA's clients. Steven is a member of several professional organizations, including the Urban Land Institute, the AIA, and the ICSC.


James M. Williams, P.E.

General Manager, Virginia Office

A long-time Virginia resident, James manages DeVita's Virginia operations and works directly with clients to provide engineering solutions on time and on budget. James began his engineering career after graduating from Old Dominion University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. Having managed a variety of project types, James has gained extensive experience in structural engineering and specialized knowledge in the design of precast/prestressed concrete structures. He is a member of NSPE and PCI.
