Frank A. DeVita, P.E.
President
As the Founder and President of DeVita & Associates, Frank drives the firm’s success through his passion for business and engineering excellence and his innate ability to keep the DeVita team motivated and focused on its core values.  His philosophy is simple: to exceed clients’ expectations by working with the utmost integrity and providing exceptional service to each and every client, each and every day.  And that is something he has practiced since the first day he established DeVita in 1984.  Frank began his career in engineering in 1979 after earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Clemson University.  Frank is a member of NSPE, SCSPE and the Greenville Legislative Delegation Transportation Committee.

W. Derrick Hiott, P.E.
Vice President, Precast Division
Derrick has held structural engineering and engineering management positions throughout his career, and with that experience he brings an impressive level of confidence and skill to manage DeVita’s rapidly growing Precast Division.  He has an eye for detail, evident in his design capabilities, plus the ability to carefully listen and uncover solutions which create long-term value for our clients and project stakeholders.  In 1995 Derrick graduated from Clemson University where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.  He is a member of several professional organizations, including PCI, ASCE, NSPE and SCSPE.

Richard H. Langdon II, P. E., LEED AP
General Manager, Commercial Division
As the Commercial Division General Manager, Rich’s principal responsibility is providing first-class engineering consulting services every day with the goal of delighting our clients. Rich applies his high level of energy and dedication to find new and exciting projects for the firm, and with his enthusiasm he leads the division’s professional staff. Rich began his career in 2003 after earning his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of South Carolina, and since has earned his MSME from USC in 2005 and his MBA from the Darla Moore School of Business in 2007. He is a member of NSPE, SCSPE, and ASME. 

Darren C. Springer, CPA (SC)
Corporate Controller
Darren manages the firm’s financial systems, information technology, human resources and administrative operations with a clear purpose: to maintain the firm’s high quality of standards and support the firm in reaching its goals and fulfilling its mission. Darren graduated from Bob Jones University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Accounting, and became a Certified Public Accountant in 2003. As a valued consultant on accounting and tax matters, he served a variety of corporate and individual clients in over a decade at Cherry, Bekaert & Holland, LLP before joining DeVita in 2011. He is a member of several professional accounting organizations, including the AICPA and SCACPA.

James M. Williams, P.E.
General Manager, Virginia Office
A long-time Virginia resident, James manages DeVita’s Virginia operations and works directly with clients to provide engineering solutions, on time and on budget.  His engineering career began in 1983 when he graduated from Old Dominion University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.  James has gained extensive experience in structural engineering and specialized knowledge in the design of precast-prestressed concrete structures having managed a variety of project types.  He is a member of NSPE and PCI.

Nripen Gogoi, Chartered Engineer (India)
Co-Owner and Director, India Office
Nripen Gogoi, a determined and passionate successful entrepreneur since 2003, is a Co-owner and Director of Devita Engineering (India) Pvt. Ltd. He takes pride in his ability to capitalize on new business opportunities, provide visionary leadership for staff, and deliver superior services. Nripen effectively delivers with passionate project execution and unwavering adherence to the firm’s core values of Delighting Clients through Integrity, Accountability, Professionalism and Success. With broad experience in Civil/Structural Design and Engineering on a variety of project types, he understands well the complexities of project delivery and creates long-term value by leading his staff to exceed the expectations of our customers. Nripen Gogoi received his Degree in Civil Engineering in 1996 from The Institution of Engineers (India) and, received a Diploma as an Associate Member (AM095551-8) of IE(I) in 2008.

Yogesh Tamhankar
Co-Owner and Director, India Office
Yogesh Tamhankar, a passionate and successful 1st generation entrepreneur, is a Co-owner and Director of Devita Engineering (India) Pvt. Ltd. With his passion towards business innovation, quality, and delighting our clients Yogesh provides leadership consistent with DeVita’s core values. He started his engineering career in 1994, and has diverse experience in the areas of Civil/Structural Design and Detailed Engineering, Field Execution, and Project Management. A business owner since 2003, he brings valuable leadership and insight to the firm. With an eye for detail and the ability to carefully listen, he uncovers solutions which create long-term value for our clients and project stakeholders. Yogesh received his under-graduate degree in Civil Engineering in 1994, and Graduated from Pune University where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering in 2005.
